Our quest for compelling coffees has brought another fantastic offering to our customers with this Costa Rica lot. This farm is off the beaten path a bit, in a region called La Piedra de Rivas (you are likely familiar with Costa Rican coffees from Tarrazu or the Central Valley). Grown on the 16 hectare Finca Jose by brothers Jonny & Jose, and milled on site using a unique mechanically washed process, this coffee is satisfying from start to finish.
Wonderfully complex in the cup, with a spicy sweet dry fragrance. Notes of cooked fruit, maple, grape-like acidity, and a delicious cocoa finish that lingers in the mouth. Excellent prepared for drip and espresso.
