Admired for their complex earth, fruit and aromatic wood notes, the coffees from North Sumatra have a uniquely desired flavor profile. From the rich soils of Takengon, in the Aceh Province, this coffee is produced differently than most coffees in the world, in a process called "wet hulling." We are proud to offer this "Red Badger" lot as a refined example of how "wet hulling' can bring unique complexity to a coffee's flavor. Enjoy!
-Wonderfully refined and gently pungent. Rich, syrupy sweet, and refreshingly bright.
-Toffee, earth, and cocoa give way to an amazing marion berry compote that lingers on the palate.

If you like a big, bold, strong coffee in the morning, this does great in auto drip coffee makers and shines in the Bonavita BV1800 with its temperature controlled brewing cycle. Performs wonderfully in the french press and Aeropress. It pulls a very thick and sweet espresso, so syrupy that we recommend a few ounces of steamed milk, mocchiato style.
